It’s NEARLY Rudolph Day!

Hi there!

It’s Rudolph Day tomorrow . . . but as I often post on a Wednesday, my penguin ATC is a day early!

Instead, I’m entering this ATC into one of my favourite challenges - TAG ALONG & ATCs - where they want to see you ADD SOME TEXT to your tag, ATC or bookmark.

My ATC has text stamped faintly in the background and the word “penguin” in the orange/green bit of the image.

ATC

Details:

  • Snippets of white and SU Island Indigo to create the ATC base
  • MFT Stitched Snowflakes for the two smaller flakes; unknown make for the largest snowflake.
  • Script stamp (stamped in SU Pool Party ink) is from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous set THMM123.
  • Penguin is by AALL & Create - Set #604

Sunday Snippets - Hello Friend ATC

Hi Playmates!

For my homework this week, I made a floral ATC.

The inner purple/pink flower was one of the left over snippets from those cut in THIS POST.

Snippets for die cutting the flower and
stamping the sentiment

Details:

  • MFT sentiment from the "Friends Like Us" set, stamped onto the white snippet in the picture.
  • Background created using pink and purple ink, and a stamp from the SU Artistically Inked set
  • Book text by Florileges Design stamp ref: FG317034
  • Marianne Designs' Daisy flower dies used on the white snippet in the picture
  • Purple paper snippet from Studio Light Unicolour Paper pad
I would like to enter this ATC into the current TAG ALONG & ATCs CHALLENGE where the theme is ADD SOME TEXT.

I have published RESULTS from the previous challenge, so please hop over to the SNIPPETS PLAYGROUND to admire the top picks and discover which lucky playmate won the prize. There's still nearly a week left to play in the current challenge if you haven't already done so.

Turning Ugly Journal Pages into Card Swans!

Ever made an UGLY journal page and wondered what to do with it? It's such a shame when, after you've had all the FUN of creating it, you stand back, look at it and think: "Well, that’s hideous, I'll have to gesso over that hot mess."

But not necessarily . . . I WAS going to blot out this page with white gesso . . . but then had second thoughts. I tore it out of my journal and used it to die cut pretty flowers with instead . . . then set about making some cards from the results.

Three cards made so far . . . and plenty of
flower snippets left to play with!

Materials:

  • Ugly journal page for die cutting.
  • Daisy flower die by Marianne Designs
  • Circle of Leaves die by Simon Says Stamp
  • Outline flower die by Concord & 9th (retired)
  • Sentiment on the trio of flowers card by MFT (no longer in business)

Sunday Snippets - LOVE is in the air!

Hi Playmates!

I'm hosting a new challenge over at the SNIPPETS PLAYGROUND for the next fortnight. This is your opportunity to use up some snippets, then come over to the Playground for a 'show and tell' via Mr Linky.

While I had the dotty stencil and the heart stamp out on my desk from other recent projects, I made a CAS anniversary card with just one black and one white snippet of card.

C6 sized card

Details:

  • The Crafters Workshop dotty stencil, brushed with Picked Raspberry DI.
  • Heart stamp from the Visible Image "Accessorize" stamp set, coloured with Picked Raspberry DI.
  • Partly stamped sentiment from My Favourite Things stamp set CS-794 "Everything Wonderful".

Why not take a look at your snippets pile, pull out a few bits and pieces and see what you can make with them? Then come over to play in the SNIPPETS PLAYGROUND - there's a lovely prize on offer for UK & European entrants - or you can just play for fun.

I would also like to enter this card into the Allsorts Challenge #842 where Donna wants us to CREATE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND. I have stencilled the background of the focal element on the card above, which I hope counts, but if not, it can be entered under the Anything Goes option. There are some FABULOUS Aall & Create stamps available as prizes at Allsorts.

Christmas Snippets!

Hi Lovely Reader!

Thanks for dropping by at this busy time of year.

As previously mentioned, I have started making next year's Christmas cards, so I stamped up a few white card snippets and coloured them in. Then I cut them out and set about making some festive cards.

Stamped up snippets.
Coloured and cut out images.
Cards made with a few of the snippets.
I still have the remaining images to use up.

I was going to enter one of the red and green gonk cards into the We Love Stamping December Challenge . . . until I realised that I had no idea of the gonk stamp details (a requirement for copyright purposes). I thought the set might have been by Lisa Horton for Creative Expressions, but it's several years old and I cannot locate it anywhere, so that's that plan scuppered!

Sarn on Sunday!

Hi Playmates

It's Sunday morning and time for new challenge over at the SNIPPETS PLAYGROUND where Miss Di is in charge for the next fortnight.

Here's my homework:

A6 card

The pile of snippets I made the card from.
Some were added inside the card!

It's been a chilly week in the UK, so Di and I have been busy in the Playground Treehouse - making copious mugs of hot chocolate for everyone. Extra marshmallows ARE available, plus, if you "nod me the wink" I'll see what kind of moonshine is hiding in my satchel to give you an extra boost! LOL! x

Sunday Snippets!

Hi Playmates!

RESULTS from the previous Snippets Playground challenge have been published HERE, so why not wander over to see who's been showcased and who won the prize?

For my homework this week: I've made two more cards from the lovely "run-off" sheet I've been busy using up. The sheet was made while cleaning off my brayer during a gelli printing session. Guess what? - I still have a little bit of it left for another project or two!

The bottom hill is the run-off sheet snippet, and the
little "tree" is a gelli print snippet.

The heart and the bottom strip of paper are
from the run-off sheet snippet.

Have a lovely crafty week!
