Hi there . . . I've created a Blog Page just for my Zines.
If you're wondering what a Zine is . . . it's just a piece of paper folded and cut in a specific way so as to create a little paper booklet. See HERE for a short video showing how to create one.
I personally use an A4 sheet of printer paper. Once folded, I work on the pages while the book is folded up . . . and only open it out flat if stamping is tricky due to a lumpy bit below, or the crease is in the way of a decent impression - or when colouring so that the colour doesn't leach into the page below! I can't be doing with numbering each page beforehand, while the paper is flattened out back to A4 size in order to determine which way up the page is going to be! If you wish, you can reproduce your Zine by photocopying it.

COLLAGE Zine (June 2025):
I stencilled all over one side of an A4 piece of printer paper using 2 stencils and 2 Distress Inks in pink and brown colours, then added various collage elements in neutral colours, found in my junk journal box of bits.

COFFEE themed Zine (Aug 2024):
I folded the zine up, added stencilling, stamping and some cut out images.

ELEGANT WRITER Zine (Aug 2024):
I folded the zine up, added stencilling first, then stamping and finally some cut out images. All images were coloured with a Speedball Elegant Writer pen. Yellow and orange marker pens were used for some of the flower centres as well as Wink of Stella. Die-cut letters were glued to the front cover.

CAKE themed Zine (Aug 2024):
I folded the zine up, stencilled it first, then stamped on the pages and coloured the images with inks and a water brush. Once I got to the colouring in stage, I opened the zine out so that it was flat, because otherwise you can get leakage on to the page below.

Gelli Print Zine made at a workshop back in 2022:
A4 paper covered in gelli prints, then stamped. Further embellishments were Washi tape, word stickers and doodling, along with some stamped and cut-out flowers.

Loving these. Interesting that you choose to work on the pages in their folded position for choice. I've only made a couple so far but that's just what I did. All sorts of possibilities here once the brain is 'in gear'.
