60th Birthday Card

Hi there creative friends

I first saw this type of card on Sandy's blog HERE. I followed the link she gave to Splitcoast Stampers HERE, and proceeded to make the card below:

I used SCS's instructions - which are great and worked out first time as it's pretty straightforward.

For ease of reference, the details are below:

BASE CARD

Piece of card measuring 5.5" x 11", scored down from the long edge at 1.75", 5.5" and 9.75".

Fold in half at 5.5" score line, then fold both flaps over. One flap goes over the top of the other.

PATTERNED PAPER (You only need ONE piece of 6" x 6" paper)

5.25" x 3.5" (adhere to main area of card front)

5.25" x 1.5" (adhere to largest front flap)

5.25" x 1.0" (adhere to smallest front flap)

CARD WRAP 

11" x 1" piece of card.

Wrap this around whole card and adhere the overlapping ends. Decorate with die-cuts or punched items and a sentiment, as desired.

Happy PALentine's Day!

Happy PALentine's Day! Wait, WHAT?

Yes, that's right, apparently Valentine's Day now appears to include PALentine's and GALentine's Day versions.

However, I'm willing to play along this year because we all need a bit of extra love and appreciation at present don't we? So, I'm sending all my Blog Pals a hug with the card below . . . to let you know I appreciate all your visits and comments. THANKS peeps . . . here's a card just for you:

The How To:

• First I took a piece of white card and stamped the Snoopy image in VersaFine  Claire (VFC) Twilight ink and stuck a mask over the top. 
• Then, using a home-made circle stencil, I applied SU Rose Red ink through the circle with a brush.
• Next I took my trusty Tim Holtz Flourish stencil and continued to brush the same ink through it with the circle stencil still in place.
• Once happy with the background inking, I removed the Snoopy mask and stamped the sentiment (made up from 2 different stamp sets) with VFC Twilight ink.
• Finally I die-cut the image using a Heffy Doodle stitched rectangle and matted it onto some Rose Red cardstock.

21st Birthday Card

Hello fellow crafters

I have a 6" square card to share with you today, commissioned by a friend of mine. 

I stamped the two separate Uniko birthday sentiments in Versafine Claire Twilight ink then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.

At the top of the card, I drew a curved line in pencil first, then went over it with a black pen to create the banner string.

Next, I die-cut the numbers and punched out the banner pieces from a couple of pink gelli print snippets. Self-adhesive black gems were added at each end of the banner, plus little pearl ones in the flower centres.
